Market Position Statements
Bracknell Forest Council believes a diverse, vibrant and sustainable market offers people choice when making decisions about their care and support needs.
The council has a statutory role in shaping and stimulating markets so that people receive the services and support that meets expectations, needs and wishes.
To do this, the council produces a Market Position Statement (PDF, 442kb) for:
- existing providers of social care services
- providers of universal services including the voluntary sector
- organisations who do not currently work in the borough
- new start-up businesses and groups
The document sets out information about the council’s overarching commissioning intentions and priorities, information about working with the voluntary, community, charitable and social enterprise sectors in the Borough, and how to go about contracting and tendering for the council.
The Market Position Statement should be read alongside the council’s commissioning strategies which offer more detail on the priorities expressed by local people with existing and potential support needs.
