Harmans Water Library opening hours

Please be aware the Tuesday opening time for Harmans Water Library has changed from 10am to 9:30am.

Volunteer to help with library code clubs

Code Clubs for children aged 7 to 11 are now running in Bracknell and Great Hollands libraries. This is to give children experience in coding. Children first learn to programme computer games and animations using Scratch. Later they have the opportunity to learn to create websites using HTML, CSS and Python.

We need more volunteers to help run our computer coding sessions. Term time, Saturdays 10am to 11am or help us expand in more libraries.

Code Club is a nationwide network of free volunteer-led coding clubs. Code Club provides projects and guides for volunteers to use in their clubs.

If you would like to know more about Code Club and being a volunteer then please visit the Code Club website.

You can also register your interest in volunteering by emailing us on

Newspapers needed

We need your help with our newspaper appeal. There are several gaps in our collection of local newspapers and we need to fill them before microfilming for our archive. We are interested in issues of:

  • Bracknell News  - August 2011 to August 2015
  • Bracknell Times - October 2010 to August 2011

If anyone has copies that they no longer need we would love to hear from them. Please contact Helen or Huw at Bracknell Library on 01344 423149 or email
